The Porter County Career and Technical Center held their 2nd Annual Cruisers and Classic Car Show on May 21, 2011. Despite the rainy weather, 35 cars registered for the show and 300 car enthusiasts came out to support the Career Center and the Porter County Special Olympics. Most every car received a trophy or plaque, several of which were handmade by PCCTC students. Games were hosted by the Special Olympics participants, Hot Wheel races were held by PCCTC students, and a dunk tank was available. Overall, the event raised $1,200 in support of both the Career Center and Special Olympics.
