South Shore CVA Wins Gold MarCom Award

Mar-Com-AwardTourism group lauded for redesigned mobile website

The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority was recently awarded a gold award from the MarCom Awards recognizing their redesigned mobile website.

MarCom Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. According to MarCom Awards, there were over 6,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2013 competition.

MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand creative professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards of excellence.

The South Shore CVA’s redesigned mobile website was launched in April, and utilizes geocentric integration. Users are able to find nearby partners and directions to their businesses from wherever the site is being visited. When comparing October 2012 to October 2013, the mobile site has seen a 1,890 percent increase in organic traffic.
