South Shore CVA Continues with 30 Stops in 30 Days Campaign

The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority will be continuing with its 30 Stops in 30 Days campaign, visiting attractions, festivals, businesses and restaurants throughout the South Shore in celebration of their 30th anniversary.

Visitors stopping at the South Shore Tour Mobile during the stops will be entered to win a $25 gift card each day from Family Express. Additionally, for each stop a visitor makes, they will be entered to win the grand prize of a $2,000 gift card from Family Express. The grand prize drawing will be held at the Indiana Welcome Center on Tuesday, July 30, at noon. A grand finale Rube Goldberg machine will perform the task of generating the winner’s name.

On Wednesday, July 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. the South Shore Tour Mobile will be making a stop at the Summer Rhapsody Music Festival at Central Park Plaza in Valparaiso. During the event, visitors will enjoy free live entertainment provided by Middle of the Road Band beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitors may also receive a free mini frisbee during the stop.

The Tour Mobile will be stopping at the Crown Point Car Cruise on Thursday, July 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The car cruise will feature sports cars, classic cars and custom-built vehicles. In addition to enjoying the car show, music and food, visitors may receive free tickets to the Gary SouthShore RailCats from the Tour Mobile.

On Friday, July 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the South Shore Tour Mobile will be making a stop at the Gary SouthShore RailCats. After receiving a free mini frisbee, watch as the RailCats take on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks beginning at 7:10 p.m. There will also be a spectacular post-game firework show.

Stop by the South Shore Tour Mobile at the Greek Fest in Merrillville on Saturday, July 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a free mini frisbee and an entry in the Family Express gift card contests. The Greek Fest will feature authentic Greek meals, live entertainment and rides.

Closing out the second week of 30 Stops in 30 Days, the South Shore Tour Mobile will visit the Antique Power Steam Show at the Lake County Fairgrounds on Sunday, July 14. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., visitors will have a chance to receive free passes to Seven Peaks Waterpark. In addition to the passes, the Antique Power Steam Show will feature numerous operational exhibits including antique tractors, steam tractor engines, horseshoeing, a petting zoo, flea market and food vendors.
