Plans to discuss convention center, partnership expansion and more
The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority will be hosting a Board of Directors strategic planning retreat on July 22 and 23 at Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, Indiana.
The retreat will be facilitated by Bill Geist, national recognized consultant and expert in destination marketing. The session will focus of the SSCVA’s objectives for the coming years: building a convention center (utilizing funds made available through income tax), expanding partnership and marketing efforts within five county radius and increasing technology to remain one of the most advanced CVB’s in the nation.
Please be advised the SSCVA Board of Directors will meet in executive session at 11:30 am on July 22, 2013 for the Discussion of Purchase or Lease of Real Property and to Discuss a Job Performance Evaluation.
Pursuant to IC 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(2)(D) and IC 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(9). This executive session will take place in the meeting rooms at Blue Chip Casino.
The regular Board of Directors meeting will take place at noon. During this meeting members of the General Assembly will speak to the board and discuss various topics from the 2013 Legislative Session.
