The role of the Honor Guard is to represent and honor fallen firefighters, and to display flags at ceremonies and special events.” stated Eric Woods, event chairman. Monies raised will be used to purchase uniforms, flags, and required items for the Honor Guard. “Uniforms are costly, and have been the barrier to creating the honor guard sooner, so we’re planning a series of fundraising events to help us cover those costs.”

The next fundraising event in the series is the Honor Guard Softball Tournament scheduled Friday through Sunday, September 13th-15th at Haven Hollow Park (330 W. 700 N., in South Haven). Visit www.southhavenfire.com to learn more.
