The South Haven Fire Department is hosting the 2nd Annual Softball Tournament Friday-Sunday, July 18th-20th on Fessler Fields at Haven Hollow Park (330 W. 700 W., Valparaiso, IN 46385) to raise money for the Honor Guard and Fire Prevention programs.

“The role of the Honor Guard is to represent and honor fallen firefighters, and to display flags at ceremonies and special events.” stated Eric Woods, event chairman. Monies raised will be used to purchase uniforms, flags, and required items for the Honor Guard. “Uniforms are costly, and have been the barrier to creating the honor guard sooner, so we’re planning a series of fundraising events to help us cover those costs.”
