Somebody Doing Something Good in Portage

Could you share a quick comment about somebody in Portage that is doing something good?
Adult, student, volunteer, coach, pastor, club, group?
I am thinking there are some good people out there and I would like to hear about them. Thanks!

I am pretty sure there was a youth group from Real Life Community Church that were out serving Housing Opportunities today! They grabbed a couple of projects of the http://neighborlinkpc.org/ website!

All of the good people that supported Gabriel's Horn at the pancake breakfast today....and the great management team at Applebee's Portage, that supports local charities, buy allowing the pancake breakfasts and volunteering their time!

We had a lot of good volunteers for Rebuilding Together Portage this year! It is great to see a community of people coming together to help those around them!

Housing Opportunities was blessed to have the youth group (and their leaders) from Real Life Community Church help us with some jobs at our apartments.

These kids are amazing! They worked hard all day with no complaining, but lots of willing hearts, strong muscles and a few water fights. Housing Opportunities is grateful to have volunteers of ... See Morethis caliber . They helped us weed flower beds, put down mulch, clean stairwells, paint, clean a kitchen and bathroom, plant flowers, mow lawns, move a storage shed, and edge a sidewalk.

You rock, Youth Group at Real Life Community Church!

Jeff Leucuta! He coaches my two boys' soccer teams w/ the Portage Parks soccer league. He has a sincere desire to not only teach the athletic aspect of sports, but the sportsmanship aspect as well. Whereas so many other coaches "drill" winning into young minds...Jeff simply teaches them to do their best. It sounds like a simple philosophy, but we've all seen the less-than-ideal coaches at all levels of sports. My boys are richer & more appreciative kids, in part, due to Coach Jeff's beliefs.
