Celebrate the end of summer in the Uptown Arts District this First Friday, September 2, 2011, from 5-8 pm! The art galleries, shops, boutiques, restaurants, and theatres of the Uptown Arts District will be open late to celebrate the arts. Stop in any – or all – of the twenty participating businesses to experience art, photography, architecture, fashion, music, good food, free refreshments and other surprises.
The Uptown Arts District is Michigan City’s eclectic enclave of galleries, creative businesses, boutiques and one-of-a-kind restaurants. Located a few blocks from Michigan City’s lakefront along Franklin and adjoining blocks, our unique and historic art and cultural center opens its doors for special events on the first Friday of every month from 5 to 8 pm. Join us for a festive evening of art openings, music, shopping, and dining!
