Santa’s Coming to Town!

Portage-Township-Trustee-OfficeSaturday, December 7th marks the 18th Annual Toys for Tots/Kiwanis Chili Luncheon from 11am to 3pm at Aylesworth Elementary School, behind Willowcreek Middle School on Central. Admission is one new, unwrapped toy for the USMC Toys for Tots program that goes to a Porter County child.

Santa will be there to greet all the kiddies with a special treat and free pictures courtesy of our 24 hour Walgreens.

The Portage Kiwanis Club will be serving up tasty chili, baked potatoes, hot dogs, cookies and beverages all for a $1 an item. All proceeds go to Toys for Tots. While you feasting on tasty treats; you will be entertained by “sounds of the season” by area youth choirs.

At 3:30pm, find your place along the parade route outside the door or where Santa and the Mrs. will end up at Gilbert Memorial Park on Willowcreek Road for our City Celebration of Christmas with carolers, the park lighting at 4:30, pictures with Santa and hot cocoa will be available for purchase by the Myer’s Student Council.
