Portage Township Schools Cross Country Coaches and runners will lead a Cross Country Camp at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County-South Haven Unit for youth entering grades 4-8. The Portage Cross Country Camp will be held June 17-19, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the South Haven Unit located at 723 Long Run Road in Valparaiso, Indiana. Runners will learn proper stretching technique, running form, and the importance of good nutrition and study habits. The Camp will conclude with a Camp race and each runner will receive a Portage Cross Country t-shirt.
The fee for the Portage Cross Country Camp is $20.00 per participant. Register now through June 16, 2014 at the South Haven Unit between the hours of 11:30 a.m. – 5:20 p.m. Parents may also register on the first day of the Camp. Participants must be a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County or a student at Paul Saylor Elementary or South Haven Elementary School.
