Parents of children in grades K-5 looking for affordable, high quality on-site before and after school child care, can register their children in Kidstop beginning August 1, 2012. Kidstop, offered by Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County, is a child care program delivered in an environment of education, guidance and fun at nine sites located throughout Porter County. Kidstop is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fees are based on usage with morning, afternoon, all day and full week options available. Children must be members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
Parents can register their children online at www.bgcopco.org or at the Kidstop Office located at 345 W. Jefferson Street, Valparaiso, IN. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Annual Kidstop registration fee of $20.00 per family will be waived if parents enroll their children for Kidstop services at school registrations held on August 7th and 8th (August 7th only for Union Township schools). Additionally, Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County memberships can be purchased at the pre-rate increase price of $25.00 per child, saving an additional $10.00.
Kidstop is offered at the following elementary school sites: Valparaiso--Northview (also serves Memorial), Flint Lake, Parkview, Central, and Thomas Jefferson Union Township—Simatovich and Union Center South Haven—Paul Saylor and South Haven Elementary Chesterton—Discovery Charter
