REGIONAL Federal Credit Union Celebrating Youth Week

regional-fcu-student-branches-1REGIONAL Federal Credit Union will be celebrating Youth Week in the schools from April 20-26th. Youth Week is an opportunity for credit unions to encourage young people to set up savings accounts and learn to manage money. This year the Youth Week theme is "Catch the Save Wave". We will encourage students in all of our schools to use their accounts and will use a beach/luau theme for our fun.

At the elementary we will encourage students, to make deposits and have some fun with a sucker pull. The suckers will be color coded for small rewards for the students. We will also have a savings participation competition at Morton and Irving elementary. The class that has the most students credit union participation will win a small party for their classroom.

At the Middle School and High School level, all students who make deposit of $1 or more or open a new account will have an opportunity to spin a wheel and win a reward, including cash deposits and gift cards. Students making smaller deposits will pull a color coded surfboard out of the sand to be rewarded for using their savings account.

During our Annual meeting the SCU will have a youth table where we will help young people make sand bracelets, lei necklaces, bookmarks and if time allows we will even play Bingo.
