Once again, Rebuilding Together Portage will be helping our neighbors get their homes safe and functioning.
When a homeowner gets into a financial problem due to the death of a spouse, divorce, loss of a job or major injury, the results could be tremendous and long lasting. After a while, the problems build up and get worse. Then it becomes difficult to have enough money to take care of basic needs. Home repair goes to the back burner. If these home repairs are not taken of, there can be devastating, costly, and dangerous consequences like mold, mildew, structural damage and collapse.
Each year, Rebuilding Together Portage is joined by hundreds of volunteers that assist making repairs, replace necessary materials and make the home safe to live in again. Rebuild day is this Saturday! If you see us in your neighborhood, please give the volunteers a cheer!
