You are invited to help us celebrate reading at our Parent Involvement Night, Wednesday, April 17th. This year children's literature has three big milestones: Clifford the Big Red Dog's 50th birthday, Amelia Bedelia's 50th birthday, and the 75th anniversary of Caldecott medals.
The night will be divided into two portions. One portion will include a pizza dinner, shopping at the book fair, and an e-reader open house.
The second portion will include three parent sessions for parents and guardians to attend and a professional storyteller with additional activities for children.
As a parent, you will be able to attend three 20 minute sessions that include helping your child with reading comprehension, how to assist your child in practicing spelling words, and a session on "Reading into Life." Each child will also be receiving a free book of their choice for coming!
