Reading is good for the mind. The Portage Township YMCA will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair September 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th in the YMCA lobby. 
The fair will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on September 8th and 10th and from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 7th and 9th. Money raised will benefit the YMCA Child Care and Development Center in order to buy new books and puzzles for the center. Other items available will be calendars, posters, cookbooks and activity books. Cash, checks and credit accepted.
