We are down to our last 80 Northwest Indiana aerial books! These make great holiday, employee, or client corporate gifts! Books are 50% now through Friday, November 15th, only $20 each! Email brad@aironephoto.com and let us know how many to set aside for you!

Local pilots and aerial photographers, Tom and Brad Cavanaugh released a hardback, coffee table-style book of over 100 color images of Northwest Indiana.

In the book, Cavanaugh provides rich images depicting a birds eye view that many

lifelong Northwest Indiana natives have never seen before. Only a limited 1,000 copies are being printed. “Northwest Indiana, A Different View,” is available for purchase at Air One (64 Lincolnway). Everything in terms of imagery is done in house, from the photography, scanning, and graphics work. Images from the book can be purchased for framing at Air One.

The book is unique because of the aerial views, but the comprehensive spread of photos makes the book appealing to anyone interested in the region,” Tom Cavanaugh said, “We’ve featured aerials of landscapes like the Kankakee River and Lake of the Four Seasons, alongside industrial shots of power plants, the steel mills, and barges on Lake Michigan. And then we have the timely shots of the 2008 floods in Hammond and Munster or the addition of the new student union at Valparaiso University.”

Tom Cavanaugh has been flying helicopters and small planes out of the Porter County airport for over fifty years. He began teaching his son Brad when he was twelve years old. By age sixteen, Brad had earned his own pilot’s license. Since 1995, Tom and Brad have been collaborating on aerial photography projects.

The book is available for $39.99 at the Air One Aerial Photography gallery located at 64 West Lincolnway in Valparaiso

Air One started back in 1995 as a simple aerial photography company. Air One produces some of the country's best panoramic photographs, subjects ranging from Chicago skyline photos to lighthouses. They carry over 150 different city skylines worldwide.
