Purdue Calumet Adds Saranac’s Hardy to 2015-16 Class

PUC-PeregrinsPurdue University Calumet women’s basketball head coach Tom Megyesi added another player to his 2015 recruiting class, as Saranac High School (Mich.) standout Kaylee Hardy agreed to continue her career with the Peregrines.

Hardy, a 5-foot-9 shooting guard, averaged 10 points and just over six rebounds per game in her junior campaign for the Redskins under Saranac Head Coach Steve Tompkins.

“Kaylee is a very versatile player who can drive hard to the basket and shoot from long range,” said Megyesi. “We are looking forward to having her as a part of our program.”

The Peregrines are coming off a record breaking season, making a trip to the NAIA National Tournament Sweet 16 for the first time in team history. The program also celebrated its third-straight 20-win season, finishing the year 25-7 after capturing both the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships.
