The Pride of Portage Marching Band received a Gold Rating at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Open Class "A" Northern Regional held at Chesterton High School on Saturday, October 14th. The band also finished in the top ten in Class "A" and will advance to the Semi-State Competition.
The ISSMA Open Class "A" Semi-Sate contest will be held at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis on October 28th and will feature the top 20 class "A" marching bands from around the state. This is the second year in a row that the band has advanced to the Semi-State competition. The Pride of Portage will perform at 4:41 pm Eastern Time.
