Alexis Johnson had two doubles and drove in a pair of runs for Portage, who won the non-conference battle in Mishawaka.
Kiley Jones and Kaitlin Doud combined for a one-hitter for the Lady Indians (15-5), striking out a total of four.
Crown Point 3, Valparaiso 2 (Girls Tennis)
Wen Oing was a winner at No. 1 singles for Crown Point (6-2, 6-1) while Abby Kvachkoff picked up the win at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0) for the Bulldogs. Rachel Willing was Valpo’s lone singles winner, taking No. 3 6-2, 6-4.
La Porte 3, Portage 2 (Girls Tennis)
Caroline Boger (No. 1) and Lauren Sterling (no. 3) were singles winners for the Slicers. Abi Glass and Madison Shreves teamed for a 6-1, 6-2 win at No 1 doubles for La Porte.
Portage won the junior varsity match, 5-4.
