Cameron Watson, Sam Freeman, A.J. Huls and Andrew Kvachkoff teamed up for a win in the 400 yard freestyle relay for Crown Point, who prevailed in the dual meet.

Individual winners for the Bulldogs included Kvachkoff (100 yard backstroke), Huls (100 yard freestyle), Freeman (200 yard freestyle) and Joey Karczewski (100 yard backstroke).

Lake Central received wins from Connor Homans (50 yard freestyle), Josh Barajas (200 yard IM) and Drake Hunt (diving).

Crown Point 119, Lake Central 67 (Girls Swimming)

Crown Point prevailed behind a 200 yard medlay relay team of Abby Wellman, Kelsi Artim, Hannah Kukurugya and Racheal Bukowski. MacKenzie Artim (200 yard freestyle), Bukowski (50 yard freestyle) and Aly Tetzloff (100 yard butterfly) were among the individual winners from the Bulldogs.

Lake Central won the diving event with Kallie Higgins, who turned in a 224.80 finals score.

Bishop Noll 87, Marquette 61 (Boys Basketball)

Larry Crisler poured in a game-high 36 points for visiting Bishop Noll in the second round of the Greater South Shore Conference (GSSC) tournament on Wednesday. With the loss, the Blazers are eliminated from the conference tournament.

Marquette won the junior varsity contest, 59-36.

Both Marquette teams return to action on Friday, January 31 when they travel to Lake Station. JV tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. with the varsity game to follow.

Munster 47, Portage 18 (Freshman “A” Boys Basketball)

Zach Rudd scored seven points and Raquan Lindsey added five for Portage. Munster won the “B” game as well, 13-10 in two quarters. Zach Wefler and Eric Lewis each scored three for Portage in that game.

Portage 48, Lake Central 16 (Wrestling)

Portage prevailed in the Duneland Athletic Conference (DAC) dual meet. Portage won a tight one at the JV level, 30-28.
