On Tuesday, July 21, Porter-Starke Services will host its Learn @ Lunch series with an informative educational lecture entitled, "The Inspiration Project" from 11:30-1:00 PM at Porter Starke Services located at 3176 Lancer Street in Portage. Sandy Carlson, LCSW, LCAC, Vice President of Clinical Services at Porter-Starke Services will be the featured presenter.
Porter-Starke Services discovered a wonderful process to inspire health, balance and hope in its employees, clients and community members. The Inspiration Project is based on This I Believe, an international project that engages people in writing, sharing and discussing the core values and beliefs that guide their daily lives. The Inspiration Project is a very useful tool in generating hope, connection, and deeper understanding among those who participate. During our time together, we will introduce you to this process, provide you with a structure to use in your organization with employees, work teams, students or clients, or personally and get you started on writing your own essay. Come listen to stories of people in our own community and beyond, and be inspired by stories that strengthen all of us.
The Learn@Lunch series consist of monthly educational seminars featuring informative and practical mental health and wellness topics. Seminar locations rotate between Valparaiso, Portage and Knox and are open to the general public as well as clinicians and educators. When applicable, Porter-Starke Services offers 1.5 Continuing Education Credits for $5.00.
There is no charge for the presentation. Please bring your own lunch. RSVP is required for attendance. For more information, please call (219) 476-4502 or email: aroof@porterstarke.org.
