Porter-Starke Provides Problem Gambling Treatment

Health-Balance-Hope-2Porter-Starke Services recently received a grant award from the Indiana Council on Problem Gambling to provide gambling treatment at no cost to the consumer. It is estimated that as many as four percent of gamblers may develop a gambling problem in their life.

Gambling is an addiction that often requires family members and friends to intervene and encourage the addict to enter treatment,” said Rocco Schiralli, President/CEO of Porter-Starke Services. “The partnership with Indiana Council on Problem Gambling helps expand treatment opportunities for those struggling with this addiction,” said Schiralli.

Porter-Starke Services provides gambling treatment services in addition to treatment of other mental health and addiction issues. Signs and symptoms of problem gambling can include hiding gambling losses, gambling to escape, severe mood swings, and attempting to stop gambling but not being able.
