Porter Regional Hospital postpones non-essential events

The safety of patients, visitors and its healthcare team members are critical to a hospital’s delivery of quality medical care. At Porter Regional Hospital, all departments and clinics are prepared to respond, screening all patients for COVID-19 risk factors, and a plan is in place to protect patients, staff and visitors while providing necessary medical care. As part of its preparedness, and its work to minimize unnecessary exposure to infectious or communicable diseases, Porter Regional Hospital has temporarily suspended all non-essential activities through Friday April 3 including:

  • Support Groups
  • Childbirth Classes
  • Other Wellness Programs and Fitness Classes
  • HealthPorte talks

This is an extraordinary time in our community and Porter Regional Hospital is taking this step out of an abundance of caution for the safety of its team members and community.

If you have additional questions about COVID-19, visit the information page on the hospital’s website.
