Porter Health System’s Healthy Woman Program Presents National Women’s Health & Fitness Day

Porter is calling women of all ages to participate in this year’s National Women’s Health & Fitness Day on Wednesday, Sept. 29. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about non-competitive exercise activities, see exercise demonstrations and take part in several screenings. These activities will be held from 9 am to 1 pm at both the Portage and Valparaiso Family YMCAs. Healthy_Woman_porter_logo

According to Fitness Day organizers, this national program focuses on the importance of regular physical activity and health awareness for women. More than 1,400 groups across the country are expected to host women’s health and fitness events to encourage women to take control of their health by making smart health choices and engaging in regular physical activity.

Porter’s Healthy Woman program is a free community resource designed to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to make informed healthcare and well-being decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
