Porter County Community Foundation opens fall community grants on July 22

Always committed to supporting Porter County through philanthropy, the Porter County Community Foundation (PCCF) is preparing to open its fall round of Community Fund grant funding on July 22.

“We invite nonprofit organizations that serve Porter County to apply,” said PCCF Executive Vice President and Chief Philanthropic Officer Jeri Pat Gabbert.

PCCF enhances our community by offering an open grant process for youth programs, health and human services, animal welfare, arts and culture, education and the environment.

Nonprofit community groups that operate in Porter County are eligible to apply. In other words, an organization does not need to be headquartered in Porter County to obtain a PCCF grant, but they do need to identify that they serve Porter County residents or have a facility or are operating a specific program in Porter County.

Grant applications can be submitted requesting up to $10,000, and applicants can apply every 12 months.

“Because of the generous support of our community, PCCF is able to annually distribute approximately $350,000 to local nonprofits from community funds,” said Gabbert.

Community members wishing to support PCCF can donate on the foundation’s website.

Fall grant applications must be completed by August 15, 2024 at noon.

“Applications are due in mid-August, and our grant committee will meet in September to determine recipients,” said Gabbert.

All applicants will be notified in mid-October.

PCCF is focused on supporting proposals that enhance the nonprofit organization’s ability to better serve the community through professional development, training, collaboration among organizations, the purchase of new equipment, or the expansion of programming.

Applications for debt relief, religious or political organizations, or annual membership dues will not be considered.

“As a mission-driven organization, PCCF focuses on strengthening Porter County through lasting generosity and leadership,” said Gabbert. “The grant awards demonstrate the commitment that PCCF leadership and donors have to make our community a great place for all.”
