Early Childhood Education Students Attend Amanda Seminar


Our Early Childhood Education students attended a seminar on teen dating violence sponsored by the Youth Service Bureau. The students were escorted there by Mrs. Tripp and Mrs. Ellis. We are committed to helping our students avoid all forms of dating violence. All of our students attended in professional attire as shown in the photos.


Career Center Students Attend Chicago Auto Show


Three busloads of students, parents, and teachers attended the Chicago Auto Show on February 13. A great time was had by all who attended.


Students from the Health Careers class volunteered at the "Give A Kid A Smile" event at HealthLinc in Valparaiso Monday, February 17th which was a school holiday. Our students helped provide services to over 40 children despite the bad weather.

February is CTE Month

Each year the US Department of Education highlights the important role Career and Technical Education plays in the lives of students and our country. February is Career and Technical Education month and CTE partners across the U.S. are joining the celebration.

High School CTE Mentors Share their Stories with 8th Graders


Under the supervision of Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Sorensen, our trained CTE ambassadors made career presentations to their 8th grade colleagues in Valparaiso recently. A recurring theme heard at the event was telling the 8th graders to do well in their first year of high school and“Don’t fail any of your 9th grade classes or you won’t have the choice of these classes.”
