In honor of National School Counseling Week (Feb. 1-5), the Porter County Career and Technical Center would like to thank and acknowledge the local high school guidance counselors who help students every day.
The career center serves students from all of Porter County, plus Hobart High School in Lake County. It offers about 36 programs at 12 sites and depends heavily on high school counselors to help connect students with appropriate half-day programs.
Sophomores and juniors are now considering career and tech ed programs for 2016-17.

These are just a few of the professionals in Northwest Indiana who help students with all kinds of needs on a daily basis. There are many other dedicated counselors and social workers at area high, middle, and elementary schools.
