Porter County and LaPorte County Tourism Bureaus Presenting R.O.S.E. Awards

ROSE-Awards-Janie-WiltshireIndiana Dunes Tourism, the official tourism bureau of Porter County, is joining with the LaPorte County Convention and Visitor Bureau to honor the two counties’ top restaurants, hotels, festivals, businesses, hospitality professionals and attractions.

More than 30 R.O.S.E. (Recognition of Service Excellence) Awards will be presented at the annual R.O.S.E. Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. May 11, 2011, at The Allure Banquet Center, located at 301 B Street in LaPorte.

The awards recognize those who provide excellent service and go the extra mile to make the two counties great places for visitors and residents alike to enjoy.

The keynote speaker for the luncheon will be Janie Wiltshire, an internationally known public speaker and trainer for the hospitality industry.

Wiltshire, whose career spans more than 25 years, began as a desk clerk and worked her way through the industry with positions including Guest Services Manager at Hyatt, Director of Sales at Sheraton and General Manager at Marriott.

More than a decade ago, Janie started Due West Company and she has worked with thousands of hotels and corporations worldwide. She travels internationally as a public speaker and trainer for the hospitality industry.

Wiltshire’s personal story of courage and determination will touch your heart. Not only does she know the hotel industry inside and out, she inspires her audience to greatness every time. Her delivery is passionate and focused on her life experiences. She will share what the R.O.S.E. awards really mean.
