We’ll be hosting the first ever PortageLife/ValpoLife Business in the Backyard event coming up September 29th. The event will be a very casual, picnic in the backyard kind of affair, with food from local establishments, refreshments from local suppliers, prizes from local companies, games from fun local businesses, and well, you get the general laid back and local kind of thing.
We’ll be celebrating the smart marketing practices of PortageLife advertisers, and giving out a couple of awards, though no plaques of any kind will be given. Mostly we’ll be having fun thanking all the people who make PortageLife and ValpoLife possible, and helping to introduce Joe to Mary, and Sue to Dan if they don’t know each other, playing ping pong, bags, pin your business card on the donkey, and enjoying some good food, drinks, and each others company.
There is no cost to get in, and no membership required. Shorts are preferred and no jackets, ties, or dresses will be allowed.
Anyone that does business in Portage or Valpo is invited, and we’ll have a sign up form out next week for you to let us know you are coming by. The location if you had not guessed that already is in our backyard at 5 Napoleon, in downtown Valparaiso. “Business” will begin promptly at 3pm, or whenever you can get out of work, to go Do Business.
