The Portage Youth Commission is still accepting applications for new members to replace departing seniors. Any students living in the City of Portage who will be in grades 9-12 this fall are encouraged to apply. Liaison positions are also available for students living in South Haven and Ogden Dunes. Applications are available online at www.ci.portage.in.us or at the Mayor’s office at City Hall. Application deadline is extended to Friday, June 30, 2011.
The Youth Commission is a fifteen member board that gives youth an opportunity to have a voice in local government regarding the needs and interests of youth in our community.
