Reading is good for the mind. The Portage Township YMCA will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair February 7, 8, 9, and 10, in the YMCA lobby. The fair will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 9, and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 8 and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the 10.

Money raised will benefit the YMCA preschool program. Most books will be for children 8 yrs and younger however, some older children’s books and adult cookbooks will be available. Book donations will also be accepted. Tuesday night is family night at the book fair, where refreshments will be served. Cash, checks and credit accepted.
