PHS Field Trip to IUN
Ms. Gannon's Adult Roles and Responsibilities class participated in a Field Trip to Indiana University Northwest on 10/24/18. College visits are one of the first steps in choosing a college. Students were able to see first hand why IUN is The Region's University. Our students were greeted upon arrival by John Gibson, Director of Undergraduate & Graduate Programs for the College of Business. Business College Students provided a guided tour of the 45 acre campus. The presentation comparing Public and Private College choices made it clear to the students as to why so many students choose to attend IUN. IU Northwest's ranking in the 2019 edition of Best Colleges is Regional Universities Midwest, Tier 2. Its in-state tuition and fees are $7,344 (2018-19). The class was blown away by the fact that IUN provides scholarship funds for those admitted by December 1 and registered by May 1. An incoming full-time freshman who has a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum SAT score of 1170 (ACT 24) can be awarded up to $4000 per academic year. The $35 application fee was also waived for our students attending the campus tour.
