Saylor Elementary
Christian Augustine visited Saylor Tuesday, and presented us with "The Magic of Learning". Mr. Augustine used illusions that incorporate math, science, physics and reading. We were entertained by his talents of linking rings, and inserting a giant needle through a balloon while it stayed inflated! We were amazed!

PHS Urban League Scholarship Fair
Portage High School students are dressed for success for the Urban League Scholarship Fair. Students enjoyed meeting with college representatives and many received on site scholarships and fee waivers for their college applications.

PHS AP Government Class
Students from Mr. Gonzalez's PHS AP Government class worked to do research on all of the candidates that appear on a Portage ballot. Groups in the class picked Election Day 2018 races that they were interested in and reached out to each candidate in these races. The goal was to find out each candidates qualifications, the candidates stances on key issues in their race, and some of their goals if they were to win the election. Some of the students were even able to get sit down interviews with the candidates. In this picture, senior students Jovan Simakowski, Victoria Henderson, and Nicholas Butrym were able to sit down and discuss the upcoming Porter County Prosecutor race with Democratic candidate Gary Germann.
