Portage Township Schools Offers Summer Program to Kids to Keep Them Active

Portage-Township-Schools-LogoPortage Township Schools is making the students an offer this summer that will give them something to do other than making a permanent indentation in the couch. They are offering a new program that will provide activities for kids for 240 minutes (that’s 4 hours).

It’s appropriately called Program 240. It is free to attend and will be available to kids twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 10am-2pm at Portage High School, and twice a week on Monday and Wednesday from 10am-2pm at Willowcreek Middle School.

Lunch will be offered to students who participate through the Summer Feeding Program and bus services will be available.

Activities that the kids will be able to do include: use of the gyms, pool, and media center; whiffle ball, board games, tennis; and field trips to various recreational areas and entertainment spots.
