Portage TOWNSHIP Parks Recognizes Outstanding Volunteers

Portage-Trustee-Scott-BrendanBrendan Clancy, Portage Township Trustee, recognized volunteers at the August 14th Portage Township Dept. of Parks and Recreation Board Meeting for their outstanding dedication and performance for the first annual Portage TOWNSHIP SummerFest, as well as, their commitment to their community. “Our festival could not have been successful without your hard work and dedication,” states Clancy, addressing volunteers at the meeting.

Approximately 30 people attended the monthly Township Parks Board meeting and were recognized for their commitment. Trustee Clancy first awarded groups and individuals with a certificate of appreciation for their volunteerism during festival weekend. Among those recognized were; Randy Wilkening, Norman Sanders and the Portage High School JROTC, Ron Ranta and the South Haven Boys & Girls Club-Torch & Keystone Clubs, and the Steve & Eva Cloyd Family.

Next, Trustee Clancy read two separate Proclamations, recognizing volunteers for their Outstanding Service and Dedication to the Portage Township SummerFest and to their community. Those honored with a Proclamation in their name were Scott Williams and Jessica Bailey.
