Portage Township Goes Paperless

Portage-Township-Trustee-OfficePortage Township Trustee, Brendan Clancy is proud to announce that Portage Township is the first Township in the State of Indiana to go to a paperless assistance program. Chief of Staff, Nina Rivas stated the program will allow the township to eliminate the use of very expensive files and greatly reduce paper usage.

The Fortis program provides efficient knowledge sharing and expedites record retrieval, editing and distribution of all documents. It has the ability to scan, fax and import documents directly to the program so information may be retrieved quickly and accurately.

This will not only greatly improve service but also allow staff to increase production and save thousands of dollars in paper costs. It will also eliminate costly, antiquated and inefficient record storage.
