Portage Texas Corral and South Haven Boys & Girls Clubs Partner to Say “Thanks” to Special Moms!

South-Haven-Club-Mothers-Day-Celebration-2015Ken Von Holtz, Manager of Texas Corral in Portage, partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County – South Haven Clubs to pay extra-special attention in thanking the mothers’ of Club members!

Kristin Baker, the Club’s Torch Club Director worked with the Club’s Torch Club community service group in organizing South Haven Boys & Girls Club’s “first-ever” Mother’s Day Banquet. Mothers were served a delicious Texas Corral meal of salad, roles, spaghetti and dessert. A special presentation honoring mothers was showcased and then the “honored” guests and Torch Club members worked together in creating a special homemade gift to give to and to thank the special mothers in their lives.

“Our Club parents do so much, not only for their children, but for our South Haven Club as well. When Kristin organized this event with our community service Group, Torch Club and Texas Corral, I knew this was the perfect way to say “thank you” to all the mothers that work so hard, and with so much love, for our children,” states Jason Kegebein, program director of the South Haven Boys & Girls Club.
