VARSITY SOFTBALL:
The Varsity Softball team defeated Valparaiso on Friday 12-2 making their record 9-4 (5-2 DAC).
Kylie Someson pitched 6 innings with 8 strikeouts and added 3 hits & 3 RBI’s; Dani Bryan scored 1 run with 1 hit and 1 RBI; Haley Hodges had 2 hits & scored 1 run and Dani Lynch had 3 hits & 2 RBI’s for Portage.
JV SOFTBALL:
Friday the JV Softball team defeated Valparaiso on Friday 14-4 making their record 7-3 (4-3 DAC). Brittany Adams went 3-4 with 3 RBI’s and a double – she also improves to 4-0 on the season giving up only 5 hits and striking out 3 batters. Lauren Murray went 2-4 with 1 RBI and a double; Ali Johnson was 2-3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored and Jena Alaniz was 2-3 with 3 RBI’s and a double for Portage.
