The Portage Roast hosted by Portage Parks & Recreation Foundation NW Indiana: No Mercy, for Portage officials, Mayor Olga Velazquez, City Councilman Brendan Clancy and State Senator Karen Tallian. 
The three have graciously volunteered to be candidates under fire for The Portage Roast. The Portage Parks & Recreation Foundation will be holding the Roast on Saturday, October 23rd at the Yacht Club in Portage. This event is a fundraiser for the Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk. The Portage Parks department is charged with maintaining this beautiful attraction. So, vote often and help keep this amazing attraction looking great for our community.
The candidate with the most votes will be roasted, so everyone is encouraged to vote for their favorite candidate! Cast your vote by going to the website at www.portageparkfoundation.org, mail your ballot to PO Box 747, Portage, IN 46368 or drop off your ballot at The eState, 3101 Willowcreek Rd. Voting costs $1 per vote and will be open until October 9th, 2010. The winner will be announced on Monday, October 11th. Tickets for this adult only Roast will be available for $50 per person or $95 per couple and will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and open bar.
