Portage Wrestling is coming home with a whole lot of hardware and Region pride after placing 4th in the 2016 IHSAA Wrestling State Finals.
Portage sent seven wrestlers down to state with three coming home with 2nd place titles and one coming in 4th.
Portage came into the competition with a little bit of a chip on their shoulders after a strong finish in State last year that left them hungry to prove they belong among the best in the state.
Congrats to Colin Poynter, Giovanni Murillo, Chris Rumph, Ismael Cornejo, Steven Lawrence, Gaige Torres and Kasper McIntosh on their tremendous season and leaving the future of Portage Wrestling in safe hands.
