MCJROTC
PHS MCJROTC recently donated 64 Field Jackets to the Valparaiso Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron. The field jackets are obsolete by USMC Uniform Regulations but have found a great home with the CAP Cadets in Valparaiso.
Piano Recital
On Thursday, January 7, 2016 nearly 60 students in the Portage High School Piano Keyboard classes participated in the Winter Piano Recital. Students chose piano solos to perform at this event, which served as the culmination of their work throughout the semester. The instructors for Piano Keyboard I and II are Carrie Carlson and Aaron Riegle, respectively.
Microsoft Image Academy
Students from the Microsoft Image Academy have spent the past week presenting spectacular presentations using their skills learned in class. Almost all students received their second certification and have proven to meet industry standards. Some presentations included interceding topics such as the study of the eye, fashions around the world , virtual reality, global warming, economic inequity, anesthesia, to name a few.
