Portage High School to host annual College & Career Fair on October 5

Portage High School to host annual College & Career Fair on October 5

Portage High School students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of post-secondary opportunities at their annual College and Career Fair on Wednesday, October 5th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the PHS East Commons.

The fair is open to all PHS students, students attending other area high schools, and family members.

In addition to college and university representation, the fair will also feature technical schools, the military, and apprenticeship programs. This is an opportunity for students to begin the process of communicating directly with representatives.

Students will have the opportunity to pre-register for the event through StriveFair.com. This process will allow college reps to scan the students’ individual barcodes, eliminating the need to fill out registration cards at each table.

Participants are also welcome to attend a financial aid information session at 5:30pm and again at 7:00pm in the LGI room at PHS. A representative from Purdue University Northwest’s Financial Aid Office will be discussing the financial aid process and giving an overview of how to fill out the FAFSA.

College & Career Fair attendees should enter PHS East through Door B, located in the front of the building.

This event is made possible in conjunction with Junior Achievement.
