Portage High School Robotics Women Get Inspired at Girl-Powered Event

Portage_High_School_Robotics_Women_Get_I-1 The young ladies of Portage Robotics', Porta-Botz! team "W", traveled to Indiana's first-ever "Girl Powered" event hosted by Wawasee HS Robotics. 16 highly-successful, women professionals in STEM-based careers were on hand to inspire a large group of high school girls.

PHS students Sanja Kirova, Renee Rushing, Kassandra Garay, Faith Zettler, Kelly Schafer and Mireina Kirova represented Portage Robotics at the workshop.

Event sessions for the participants included one-on-one conversations, a question-answer panel discussion, networking, and dinner with the STEM professionals. The distinguished assembly of Engineers, Scientists, University Professors, Researchers, and Industry Leaders shared valuable life experiences and practical advice to empower these young women to pursue their dreams of a STEM career.
