Portage High School Robotics Team Returns Home from 2016 Beech Grove Tournament

PHS-Robotics-Collage-02-25-16Portage HS Robotics returned home from the Beech Grove Tournament last Saturday with the Championship Trophy and the highly coveted Excellence Award.

With the regular season completed, the "Porta-Botz!" have advanced 3 robots to the 60-team field, Indiana VEX Robotics State Championship on Saturday, March 5th. 12 qualifying spots are up for grabs to advance to VEX World Championships.

In addition, 2 robots have received an invitation to compete in the 200-team field, CEATE US Open Robotics Nationals in Council Bluffs, Iowa April 7, 8, and 9, sponsored by NASA and Northrop Grumman.

Zachary Hughes, Sanja Kirova, Brendan Dilbeck and Connor Edwards make up team 2567A. They are ranked 9th in the State and 218th in the World.

Jory Lyons, Lindsey Miles, Cole Finch and Angel Balcazaar make up team 2567B. They are ranked 6th in the State and 163rd in the World.

Tyler Lyons, Charles Davis and Myles Kappes make up team 2567E. They are ranked 16th in the State.
