The teachers in the PHS Health department all were certified to be CPR/AED with First Aid instructors. The Health department has to teach all of our classes CPR, starting this school year. Portage Township School wanted to be proactive in this endeavor and have its teachers trained to be instructors. Mr. Chestovich has already used these new skills in training varsity head coaches in CPR/AED. Mrs. Corso is currently putting her training to work. She just started her CPR unit with her health classes. Mr. Chestovich and Mr. Snodgrass will be teaching CPR to their classes later this semester.
