Portage High School Art Students Paint Cars for Woodchuck

PHS-Art-Students-Woodchuck-CarsThis past summer, Program 240, and school year, art club & art classes, the students at PHS have been helping the Woodchuck, woodcarving organization. The Woodchucks cut out the cars and small figures. They send them to Portage High School for the students to paint and decorate. The cars are sent back to the Woodchucks to finish and put the wheels on.

We are so fortunate to work with a great organization such as the Woodchucks. Thank you to Carrie McGinty for bringing in the cars. The other Woodchucks are Jerry Coker, Jerry Hess, and Mike Clark who came to Portage High School this afternoon. The Portage Township Trustees office and representative, Nina Rivas, will be distributing the toys to children in Portage for Christmas.
