Gaige Torres had a first-place finish at 126 lbs. and Travis Williams was a runner-up at 220 as the Indians placed third at the conference meet on Saturday. Tyler Joseph added a second-place finish for Portage at 106.

Lake Central 64, Portage 48 (Boys Basketball)

Portage lost the home game in the Duneland Athletic Conference (DAC) despite 15 points from Michael Lattanzi. Luke Kizer added 12 points for the Indians.

The Portage JV boys also lost on Friday, 42-31 despite seven points from Canaan Cooper and six each from Ian Collier and Kevin Jenkins.

Lake Central 47, Portage 42 (Girls Basketball)

The Lady Indians dropped the DAC home game. Lake Central also took the JV contest, prevailing 36-14.

Girls Swimming Competes at DAC meet

Portage took home a seventh place finish in La Porte on Saturday. Top eight finishers for PHS included Nancy Michko and Courtney Jospeh.

Both divers, Hannah Brown and Madison Roy, were in the top 16.

Portage 108.5, Michigan City 107.775

The Indians won a close one on Monday behind a personal record of 9.525 from Madison Kurtz. Kurtz also won the all-around and bars, placed second on vault and third on beam.

Danielle Solis won vault and floor and placed third on all-around and beam.

Michigan City won the JV event, 92.6-83.9, but Lyric Lopez won the bars for Portage.

Munster 17, Portage 15 (Girls Freshman Basketball)

Briley Malenky's ten points and a great defensive effort from Micaela Enright was not enough for the Lady Indians.
