Portage Gymnasts Fall in Close Match to Valpo, Freshman Boys Bball Takes Down MC (Photos)

The gymnastics team fought hard against #1 ranked Valpo only to loose 106.2 to 112.15. Mackenzie Barcelli took 2nd on beam, and 3rd on vault, bars, floor and all-around. Danielle Solis took 4th on vault and 6th on bars and all-around. Leah Streetman won team 2 (JV) beam.

The Freshman “A” team beat Michigan City last night 48-43. Nate Johnson scored 11 points, Jacob Bearss 10 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds, Dustin Balboa 8 points. The “B” team also won 29-24. James Powell 7 points and 5 rebounds, Brad Larson 6 points.
