After the generous outpouring of plastic gallon jug donations to the Portage Boys & Girls Club, members were able to complete their igloo building project. 
Over 1,000 jugs and lots of glue were used to complete the structure which is able to fit 20 members inside. The igloo is also being used as a reading area for older members to read to younger members.

Members also learned about Eskimos and Inuits as they worked on building the igloo. A play by the Drama Club showed members how the lives of Eskimos and Inuits are different from ours here in northwest Indiana.
Featured in the play were left to right - Staff Susan Young and Adam Clough; Xander Walker, age 10, as male Eskimo; Kamara Harris, age 9, narrator; Serina Rodriguez, age 11, as Polar Bear Hunter; and Brionna Schultz, age 9, as female Eskimo with baby.
