Portage Boys & Girls Club Members Complete Igloo

After the generous outpouring of plastic gallon jug donations to the Portage Boys & Girls Club, members were able to complete their igloo building project. boys-and-girls-clubOver 1,000 jugs and lots of glue were used to complete the structure which is able to fit 20 members inside. The igloo is also being used as a reading area for older members to read to younger members.

Members also learned about Eskimos and Inuits as they worked on building the igloo. A play by the Drama Club showed members how the lives of Eskimos and Inuits are different from ours here in northwest Indiana.
